TIMING BELTS

CLASSICAL SYNCHRONOUS BELT

Classical synchronous offer a maintenance-free and economical alternative to conventional drives like chains and gears. Its application range extends from minimum drives (typewriters to heavy-duty machinery (oil pumps, etc)).

POLYURETHANE BELT IN METRIC PITCH

Polyurethane timing belts offer an optimal price/quality ratio. They provide maximum power transmission combined with perfect tooth meshing and tight and accurate tolerances. PU timing belt is an ideal solution for applications in office machines, paper industry, mixers, domestics appliances, textile machines, compressors, film projectors, sewing machines and toys.

SYNCHRONOUS BELTS FOR HIGH TORQUE DRIVES (HTD)

The curvilinear HTD tooth geometry eliminates stress concentration at tooth roots and allows higher power capacities and longer life.

HTD belts 3M, 5M, 8M, 14M and 20M are used n high performance machine tool. paper and textile industries, domestic appliances, office machines, electric hand tools and for applications in processing and chemical industry, everywhere durability and low maintenance is required.

Identification:
Three part number on the back of the belt indicating belt length, pitch and belt width as an example 1120 8M 30.

Construction:

  • Special curvilinear tooth improves stress distribution and allows higher overall loading.
  • Precisely formed and accurately spaced polychloroprene teeth ensure correct positioning in the pulley grooves.
  • Tough nylon protects the tooth surfaces.
  • Tensile member provides the required strength combined with excellent flex life and high resistance elongation.
  • Durable polychloroprene backing protects against environmental pollution as well as frictional wear if power is transmitted from the back of the belt.

Advantages:

  • Load capacities up to 1000 kW.
  • No slippage. HTD belt teeth mesh smoothly with the pulley grooves, reducing speed variations.
  • Wide speed range
  • Economical operation. No lubrication needed, no need for adjustment due to stretch and wear.
  • High mechanical efficiency. The belt construction minimizes the heat buildup and, since the friction is not required to transmit the load, belt tension are reduced.
  • Constant driven speeds.
  • Long trouble-free service life (because of excellent abrasion resistance) in many applications where metal components like chains and gears wear out in a matter of months.

DOUBLE SIDED SYNCRONOUS BELTS

Thanks to its double and directly opposite teeth those synchronous belts ensure high loading capacity on contra-rotating drives and ensure smooth running and high flexibility. Double sided timing belts are available in types: XL, L and H; 5M, 8M and 14M pitches.

Construction:

  • Similar in construction to the other synchronous belts: strong tensile member, precision formed, polychloroprene teeth and body.
  • Wear resistant nylon fabric on both tooth sides.

Advantages:

  • High load capacity.
  • Double sided timing belts can transmit up to 100% of its maximum rated load from either side of the belt; alternatively, it can transmit a load on both sides - provided that the sum of loads does not exceed the maximum capacity.
  • Non slip position drive.
  • Running at low noise.
  • Free of lubrication and maintenance.

LONG LENGTH OPEN END SYNCHRONOUS BELT

Long length belting is a special alternative to the timing chain for reversing the positioning drives.

Open-end synchronous belting is especially suitable for linear movements (automated doors, automated warehouse conveyors and elevators), accurate positioning (machine tools, x-y coordinate machines) and reversal drives (computer printers and office equipment). Long length belting is available in various sizes, constructions and tooth designs to cover a wide range of loads, speeds and applications.
